DASH

  • Dopamine (D2) – GI + neurological (psychological, head injury, tumor, viraemia, uraemia, toxins).
    • Note domperidone and metoclopramide are prokinetics
  • Acetylcholine (Ach-M) – GI + gonadal pain, biliary pain, myocardial pain
  • Serotonin (5HT3) – GI irritants e.g. pancreatitis, ingested toxins, distension, paralytic ileus
  • Histamine (H1) – GI + motion, trauma, Meniere’s disease
